Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How do you play cricket?

Cricket is played between two teams of 11 players. The batting team scores runs while the fielding team tries to dismiss batters. The team with the most runs wins.

Each team bats and bowls once (or twice, in longer formats). Batters score runs, and bowlers aim to dismiss them through various methods such as being bowled, caught, or run out.

A wicket can refer to both the physical stumps or the dismissal of a batter. Ways to lose a wicket include being bowled, caught, LBW, or run out.

You’ll need a bat, ball, protective gear like pads and helmet, and appropriate footwear. We guide players on safe equipment use at NCC Academy.
